Daffodils just rule early spring. Hands down! You've written a lovely tribute to them and their role as markers between the daylight and gloomy darkness.
I wish the first line didn't conclude on the second line.
Beneath gray skies in
March
Beneath gray March skies
The wintry gusts still rattle

Poetically it may not matter, just my OCD requiring it. :-)

Your poem beautifully captures the transition from winter to spring, painting a strong picture of the changing seasons. I loved your use of colors. Excellent descriptions. This was a wonderfully crafted poem. Loved it!
