I think I know too! This is going to be hard, Echo didn't like him, and yet, there was something about him that intrigued her. It must be wonderful to be able to talk to animals, wouldn't it be good if we could? Right, we are heading into something we're not sure of. And we don't know it Hannah is safe. I'm going to have to wait for the next chapter now, aren't I?? Lol. Another great chapter, my friend. Well done. :)) Sandra xx

Another marvelous chapter in the book. Many memories came to mind as I was reading: obviously Alice in Wonderland, going down the rabbit hole, but also Snow White and Cinderella with all the animals coming to her aid against the evil witch or step mother or Greek god.
Love the name "Neptune" for the little bunny who leads Echo to the entrance.
Interesting clue at the end: "He said he knew her and that she knew him." So who does she know other than the evil person from the beginning of the story when she was a reporter?
Excellent hook to lead to the next chapter.
Well done, my friend.

Hello Rhonda,
Another marvelous chapter in the book. Many memories came to mind as I was reading: obviously Alice in Wonderland, going down the rabbit hole, but also Snow White and Cinderella with all the animals coming to her aid against the evil witch or step mother or Greek god.

Lots of animal stories out there. Animals are a gentler version of ourselves, and thus we can use them instead of people to carry on the message. I was told that by a mentor long ago.
I'm glad the reference to who she know had Hannah was a good hook. Now I have to deliver, lol.

Luckily, she met Phillip when she got to the tunnel and he explained the basic situation. I liked how you incorporated the animals for help since Phillip could understand them. Even Sunny has now joined this part of rescuers. A very good ending as Echo recalls her dream and the man who had been in it. Very well done, my friend.

I'm glad you liked the artwork. I think it looks a lot like what I would picture Echo to be.

This is a great story with enchanting heroes. The image of a band of warriors including a herd of rabbits, a cat, a young boy, and Echo is precious. Your writing is excellent and your imagery is flawless. This book should be published. If I haven't told you, writing as a career isn't easy and it is a business, but seeing your book in print is so great. You might look up FundsforWriters.com by C. Hope Clark. Alice, bless her heart....I even have a grinning, or grumpy cat, but much different ending.
Could be Apollo, but might be someone else. However, Echo has it figured out.

I try to add in a little comic relief as things are about to get really serious. I, also, am trying to mix mythology with modern day reality to get across ideas in a sort of alternate zone. CS Lewis-esque without his obvious level of sophistication, but sort of fan fiction, I guess.

Hi Beth, thank you for taking a chance on following the fantasy book. I really try to teach life lessons by using animals and alternate reality settings. The original idea was to target young adults and to help teach life-lessons. I try to stay on track with that, but sometimes just have fun with it.
Dr. Dolittle is an influence here as well as CS Lewis, with a hint of Tolkien, lol.
I am convinced animals can understand us better than we can them, though. My son's dog actually blinks for yes and turns his head away for no. That's the most obvious signs I've seen, personally, though we just know our animals get it sometimes.
