On one reading of the poem, I think of kids growing over the year and their arms and legs will create bigger snow angels each winter. But perhaps it also reflects a spiritual level of growth, too.

You are so cute. I love this and as your girls get bigger I hope you have pictures of those bigger angels every year. After all, they are your little angels that have already gotten so much bigger than they were when I feel like I met the sweethearts. Congrats too, Jess on taking second place on this lovely poem. Love, Debi

Great poem for this contest. Love the snow angel photo you attached. My kids loved seeing it snow just so they could go out and make snow angels. I hope you do well in the contest.

When I was a young girl living in Missouri, we had time when we would get some heavy snow. I had to walk 2 1/2 miles to school and 2 1/2 miles home and many times I would fall into a snowbank and make a snow angel. I carefully get up and go onto school, and when I would come home in the evening, the snow angel was much like it was when I left it excepted had some animal Bird tracks in it. It was a fun thing to do and I always enjoyed it. Patricia .

Oh, such a lovely little poem of winter's long stay. If there's fluffy white snow for play, it's hard to argue. Beautifully crafted and illustrated ode to winter. Sending you my best today as always and my very best wishes for the contest.

This is delightful. These little ones are harder than their bigger sisters. How to make so little say so much. You wrote this well and the picture is lovely.

You are welcome. Hardly anyone read "secrets". Was it because of Death? Now my points have run out. :-(

I will be sure to check it out! I write about death all the time.

Lovely image, and a lovely thought, as the children grow up, and spread their shape further in the snow. I enjoyed the originality of this piece, and wish you the best in the contest.

I interpret this as every year your child will make snow angels, so then each year they are bigger as they grow. A memory moment is always made with a snow angel. Cute little winter poem!

I like your poem. The words you use go great with the picture. I've never seen an angel in the snow like that. It is so detailed. It is awesome. Great job on this.

I liked this ode very much. Your comparison of growing taller each year by showing it larger snow angels is a clever way to show it . Best of luck in the contest.
