Lol. Sounds like a good life but if you met our cat, she would have plenty to complain about! "He's not lying down when I want to lie down." "It's not the kind of treats I want!" Such a spoiled kitty!

Another fine poem, gypsy cat's certainly do nap a lot yet the awake instantly. I can't do that, as much as I wish I could.. I'm disoriented and still half asleep upon waking!

I have always said if there is such a thing as reincarnation, I want to come back as a cat and live in my house. They have such a good, well almost perfect life. I couldn't help but smile at this poem.

Aww. Our cat has the same hard life. He didn't want me working though, so he loved on my laptop until it fell just a little, away from me. I love this poem with excellent imagery, emotion, and a story. That is a precious cat.

This is a wonderful example of a Tanka format poem. It describles perfectly the ife of every cat I have ever known. Male and female alike, they are such DIVAS! In fact, if you asked them to write a Tanka poem they would tell you to jump in a lake and then go write an easier Haiku and take a nap in a sunny corner. Emjoyed as always. Thanks for sharing.
