Talk about going round blindfolded! How did I miss this one? Is this cat yours? She's absolutely stunning - those eyes! The perfect (no, I'm not going to pun) companion for a beautiful lady:)) Love the tumbleweeds of fur although I might become a little allergic after a while (the pile of fur is bigger than her!) Nice little reference to spring too. Fun, fun, fun! Well done! Debbie xos

Thanks. It sure wasn't a hit with the voters (2 votes total! OY!!) But thank you nonetheless.

No, this isn't my cat. Mine is named Eclipse because half her face is black, and half is orange. I featured her in a haiku
    entitled Two-Faced a while back.xoxo

Yes, even the beautiful among us need to be nipped and tucked from time to time; although if I had a cat with this much fur I'm not sure how I'd manage the cat hair all over my house (and food and clothes and bedding . . .)

Still this is the purrfect image for your purrfect poem. Hope it wins the contest:-)

Not even a CONTENDER!! The only vote it garnered was from me. Thankfully, I have a very hearty ego. lol

Thank you for the nice review.

There were SO MANY entries; I wish they'd hold it to 10, but I guess that would mean less money in the "kitty".

I relate to your poem, I had two long hairs, and trying to keep their fur untangled was a full time job. Although I feel sorry for the cat lookin so unhappy, it will be better in the long run. Like vaccines.

Cats and dogs moult and fur flies through the air and many are allergic to it. These long haired cats need a lot of grooming to stay looking beautiful, a fun post, check the spelling for (moult) love Dolly x

Well, I hope this isn't a breach in giving away my identity, but in the country where I live, there isn't a 'u' in 'molt.'

Thanks for the nice review and for eagle-eye edit, all the same. It's honestly appreciated.

This usually happens every spring as they shed their coat of hair. And if they happen to go outside and get in the burdocks; then they must be combed and have their hair clipped.

Trust a bloody cat to be so demanding. Perfection in so few letters. I now need the truth. Who wrote this? You or the cat. It really is such an accurate description. Sorry, no sixes left.

Looks like enough fur there to knit a sweater. Beautiful cat. Your poem captures these in a humorous way. Best wishes for your entry in the contest.

Oh my! What a gorgeous cat. But you could knit a sweater with that fur lol. A Fun 5-7-5 poem. I liked the tumbleweeds description. The photo brings it all together. Very nicely done.

Thank you very much for all this specific commenting. That really helps to know what "lands" with a reviewer.

Great poem about the hazards of a long-haired cat. They ARE so pretty to look at, but such a mess!!! However, if the owner commits to groom them every day, it isn't too bad.
Thank you for sharing your cute 5-7-5, and Good Luck in the contest,
~Mustang~
