This was a beautiful tribute to our soldiers that fell and were unidentified. It is so sad that this happened to these wonderful people while putting themselves on the line for us.

This was very well constructed, with a good choice of words.
Very emotive, emotional and patriotic, and, of course, somewhat sad.
"Lest we forget, the glorious dead!"
(Good choice of image to support the poem).

This is a lovely tribute to the fallen. I'm glad they are still being honored and remembered, even if unidentified. Thank you for the additional info in the authors notes

Thank you for this tribute to those who served, especially those who gave their lives. As it is said, "All gave some; some gave all." Kudos to you for your wonderful words this Independence Day. May we never forget. Have a wonderful day. Stay well.

AMEN!! I have been to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier on two occasions. Each time my heart was touched. Citizens should not forget what these and other soldiers have endured to secure our freedoms, that are so easily given away today. Thank you for sharing.

This, your moving tribute to heroes unknown, pierces my heart, your reader. Every single freedom we enjoy was bought for us by these men (people) and it is a tragedy that we cannot identify them.

I pray that we never fall so low in our lives that we forget the sacrifices that men and women have made in so many battles to ensure our freedom and peace in our country. I see what is happening and wonder if we've lost sight of who and what Old Glory stands for.
Hugs, Carol

Ah. Is this a repost from pre memorial day, then? It's never a wrong time to pay respects to our fallen. Today we celebrate America's birthday...but how long would we have lasted without the courage and determination of our Patriots?
Excellent acrostic!

Hi
Do the escapades include
WW1, WW2 and Vietnam? You mentioned Korea in your notes
Yes, we owe our very freedom from day one to the military. From the time the shot that was heard around the world was fired until now our military has tried to make us land of the free and the home of the brave.
I really worry that if a certain candidate wins the US elections that we may no longer be the land of the free. We have a wannabe dictator running and leading in the polls. A scary time
I enjoyed reading your poem
Good job. Thank you for sharing.
