This is a great topic for the "kimo" poetic form. It fits with the "nothing ever changes" final line. And yes, there are so many who are poor and don't have enough to eat in the world, a situation for humans in society for millennia...

This is a beautiful kimo poem. Three powerful lines that draw a perfect picture for the reader of what it is to be homeless and hungry. The artwork you have chosen goes very well with the poem. Well written. Thank you for sharing.

This is very well written for the club event, and I enjoyed reading it. I don't know about you, but I had to googled to find out what this particular poetry format was about and how to put it on paper. Pat.

Excellent entry for the kimo poem" event. I never heard of it. I wonder if Shelley crested it. You take on a worthy cause. People go hungry alle over the world but especially in third world countries.
Well done! Good luck in the contest.

-Very nice artwork and presentation, kahpot.
-A well written poem with a good topic.
-Effective imagery paints a good word
picture of this situation.
-You also do a good job with the "frozen image"
of sleeping on empty stomachs.
-A poignant closing line emphasizes how
the situation doesn't ever get better.
-Very well done; thanks for sharing it and caring.

I love this piece, Kahpot! I'm intrigued by the focus on writing with little movement, as I love taking snippets of time and writing about them.
This was done masterfully, and I appreciate your work.
Best, JohnC

Let's hope you are wrong and that things can still change if we only put our heads and hearts together and create a world where no one is hungry or homeless. There is still a chance! I love the choice of artwork, it fits the subject so well. Sad but true this speaks about those who need our help.

This is very touching and thought provoking. Sadly, I think there are more and more 'corners of the world' these days and not nearly enough being done about it. Thank you for bringing such an important topic to the spotlight!

A sad and powerful piece that highlights this stain on society. It is tragic that there are so many homeless these days. It's a problem for which there seems to be no solution.
