I used to spend summers at my cousins. I loved my uncles, but their kids were children of the corn quality. Always wanting to run through the woods. Funny, both of them are decorated marines and one is a preacher. I have nothing but love and respect. I see why you beat me here. My story was weak. This is good.

my Grandma who stayed in a bed in (because of the 'my' grandma has a lower case 'g' and so does the other family names that have 'my' in front of them.)

Wow. That was a very disturbing read. The way you told it led me to believe there was something more nefarious going on than just a picnic or fishing. It must have been a very frightening time for a young girl to be forced to accompany someone she was uncomfortable. I feel terrible that you were forced to do something you didn't want to do.

It's painful being a child sometimes, when adults think they know what you want, or what's best for you. The thoughts of sewing doll clothes was making me happy. My mother sewed, and I loved it when she used scrap fabric for my dolls.

I really enjoyed reading this story, I admire the innocence of the girl who talks about the exciting things she does during her summer break. With the first paragraph of the story I was already captivated by the mystery of the uncle despite being a nice man. Despite not giving too much away which was skill-fully done it beckons the question of what happens during this road trip with her uncle that she doesn't have the desire to go despite been forced to go. I would really love to know if there's a part two! I love the descriptive imagery within this story!!
