Thank you for this great tribute to our veterans. So many have suffered PTSD from being in the battlefield and are haunted and can't return to a normal life. Great 5-7-5 for the contest challenge! Congratulations on the win!!

Your poem moved me, it focuses on the realities of war and our veterans. Such noble individuals reduced. We need to treat them as heroes, and give them all the help they need, unfortunately some would still slip through the cracks. Grear job.

Unknown bard, thanks for this reminder that as we civilians enjoy our comforts of safety and security and snuggle under downy fresh covers,
there are literally thousand of military comrades out there somewhere,
ensuring we continue to have these "freedoms." Good luck in the contest.
