The monkey must have been an artist or painter and did not realize it. To paint bananas would be a fruity picture scene but also grapes would have had the same reflections for the monkey. I like your idea. They say monkeys are brilliant.

Run with it. I think Nanzo could be a star. Jackson Pollock made a mint and all he did was drip coloured paints onto a canvas. Nanzo can paint meaningful shapes and forms. Go for it!

This story, Nanzo the Painting Monkey, must be the forerunner of that crazy series, Nanzo the Grape Painter. The interesting thing about it was all the grapes looked like purple bananas.
