I'm glad Judy told the truth. I was afraid she would lie for Bobby. I have been sick since last Thursday, so I'm a mile behind on reviewing this story. I have a doctor's appointment this afternoon, but I wanted to read a chapter or two before I have to go.

I remember the melody, but seems I've got the words mixed up.

I hope you've put the rusty shotgun away (you the one with the crooked barrel) I don't want to be shot this morning for being so far behind on responding to your reviews. Life got in the way as usual....it tends to do that. Besides, if you shot the sheriff, I fear how many bullet holes you'd put in me.
Thank you for the review and the shiny six. I appreciate your thoughts on my story.

Hi Carol, this is again a great chapter and follow up. It's great and important that Judy is telling the truth about Bobby. I really liked the start of the chapter. So full of suspense. Hugs, Ulla xcx

This is another excellent chapter. The hook at the end is great. It makes me want to turn the page to see what happens next.I do not see any room for improvement. Have a blessed day.
PS. Many moons ago, I was following a book of yours. I do not remember the name. A retired policeman was helping a mob wife disappear. I am not sure if I finished it. If I have the name then I could find it in your portfolio.

Thank you so much for the review and for your interest in my other work. At the moment, I don't recall but I'll see if I can remember. There were a couple books I never finished due to personal times when I quit writing. Books I should not leave unfinished. Thanks!

I'm glad Judy could talk and mentioned the baggies. Apparently, she didn't see Dion's truck when she went into the market for food. But as evidence goes, she is proof that Bobby bought the baggies. If Dion survives, he may never know what happened, so his life could be easily ruined. I am really enjoying the story and how it all connects but has many little and big stories going on all at the same time.

She didn't see his Dion's truck because Bobby parked in back and Dion's truck was on the street in front. While Judy was picking up lunch, he crept through the buildings and hid the drugs in Dion's truck.
Thank you for all your kindness and review.

It's good that Judy told the truth about Bobby. I hope Gabby does the same, and that her two friends will also tell the truth about Juan. So many people are involved in this plot, and not all of them are good people. You've drawn your characters very well.

Yes, unfortunately, in life, we are mixed into a society of good and bad and rub shoulders every day. Here's hoping the good will triumph.... at least for some.

Well written, Carol. The truth from Judy will surely carry some weight, and she has been honest. Hoping Dion survives and is cleared of wrongdoing. The relationships are complex, and an interesting ethical dilemma is posed at the end. Will Gabby betray her friends to save Dion?

Oh, thank you you, Wendy, for your kindness, the thoughtful review and the stars. This story means a lot to me and I am so grateful to know you and others understand all the underlying actions and how they affect others. I believe Gabby will do the right thing....

Finally, Jackson is getting somewhere, thanks to Judy telling the truth as she remembered it. But Judy's truth is going to mess up Audrey's plan to get money. In the mean time, Nat and Becky are two little demons who keep getting away with stuff. If this story goes anything like real life, their day will come.
This is an action packed chapter. A lot of detailed ground was covered.

Good evening,Lorraine
Thank you for reading and enjoying it. I think Audrey will come to her senses before it is to late, realizing that Jackson and her family are worth more than money. Now, Nat and Becky are a different story. We must remember that Peter sent Isabella back because she had unfinished business. The next two chapters are leading up to that moment....

More great dialogue and plot development. It looks like Dion could be cleared, if he can survive this. The threads keep twisting around as you so skillfully weave them!

Another fine chapter, Carol, and one that is filled with realistic details and dialogue.
I am impressed with how everything is coming together = no easy task when writing a story such as this as everything has to have balance, and your writing does!
Much enjoyed.
Thank you for sharing!

Thank you Diane. I appreciate your review and your kindness. We are nearing the end, but there must be one last explosion of some kind... Isabella was told she had unfinished business by Peter.... wonder what that will be?
