Never should a child grow up being hurt in any form or be afraid and unloved. That's not a childhood. Thank you for sharing this club entry with us. This is a subject that gets my ire up. I saw too much of it when I was teaching at my last school.

Another fine poem, Gypsy, and one that should speak about every child but no longer does. The world we are leaving for our children is one full of things to be afraid of, like being mowed down at school. Our priority should be in keeping children safe, but isn't any longer

This poem is sad and also provides hope. It uses line breaks well to enhance the emotional effect of the poem.
Child sexual and verbal abuse should never happen. If the child can feel God's presence in the future it will give her the strength to heal and have a somewhat 'normal' life.
Keep writing and stay healthy.
