Another fine poem, Gypsy....and a bleak one for sure. The irony boy passing a children's playground and the frequency of mass shootings has become a depressing backdrop

Your wonderful talent shines through with this poem even if it's about death. Death is a hard subject to discuss, but one that is necessary. We all will die at some point. Your presentation is eerie. Great job.

This one is really cool with a touch of eerie but so was the song. I am a little shy of death talk, however there is something that just intrigued me with this free verse.

You can make anything remarkably fascinating in a mysterious type of way. You add just the right words to set the tone, and it always amazes me how great you are at it.

Do you ever like to add music to your poems? If you use an iPad, I know Apple won't allow it, so I keep an old computer to do mine. I always offer help in the event announcements. Please feel free to ask for help whenever you need it or to get feedback before you post.

I read all the event entries but sometimes I may be late because I have two other clubs and my own writing.

This week I was late because I was very sick with a cold that wouldn't go away. I caught so much that I couldn't sleep.

Anyway, today I feel better. 😌

Douglas, I really appreciate your six stars review and kindness. I am happy you like death character lore, me too. Well, most everything horror. There is something about the Grim Reaper that is very sexy.... I know that's creepy. LoL

I like your mention of Emily's poem. I don't know Pink Floyd's songs at all, so that was interesting, too. There's something magical about children's laughter and I wonder if that changed the narrator's numbness in life.
