It seem by thaking in this child you did make a big difference in a life there could not have fared as well without you. That was a hugh sacrifice on your part that few people would make. It seem that he would be a part of you life as long as he survives even if you aren't his physical caregiver.

Thank you very much Tony for your insightful review. Yes, foster parents would understand this and relate to it, but some of the preceding chapters may turn people off fostering, and so would some of the coming ones. But at least it would be a dose of reality. Thank you again.

"Happily ever after" not the way real life works most of the time. Nor is life usually "smooth." Maybe that is what keeps life interesting perchance.
Once he was no longer fostered by you the reality is there probably will not be anywhere near as much you can do for him though you apparently anguish over that issue.
Sounds like you did the best for him you could. That is all you could do.
How true. So called experts are not always "attuned to what is best for each individual."
For Act Three seems you will be much more of a mere spectator than perhaps you want to be.

I totally agree about those in their ivory towers, they are usually so far removed from the affect of the decisions they make. Your passion for family comes through Wendy. I think as parents we can all think, i could have done that better.

In the previous post review I just submitted, I made mention of waiting for the shoe to drop. Everything seemed to perfect and when we have to rely on government programs or intervention, there is normally a "but" or a "what if".
I would like to say I'm looking forward to your next post in a happy way, but I honestly cannot. You have me immersed in Jonathan's story and I need to know what happens and that he is being well cared for.
