I see the creativity in aligning it with horror/thriller. I love the approach you took against the classic horror poem to be expected. I love frogs and I love horror which brought me to click on your submission. Win! Win!

This was witty.

Be careful what you wish for. I am not sure this qualifies as horror. Although, I am sure the man felt that emotion. I know enough not to go around talking to frogs. Good luck in the contest. Karen

Couldn't quite hear you. I swear, I am still hearing that damn frog. :-)

Well, that would definitely be a recurring horror, to be chopped down every day and then have to suffer the same fate over and over. Well done. Best wishes for your entry.

A very imaginative story captured succinctly in this 100 word horror free verse! I think I'm still feeling your pain by the end. Living forever is not all it's cracked up to be! Well done and good luck! Debbie

This is a well-written story. The picture definitely caught my attention. The element of horror is in this story. The story reads and flows well. What a way to live forever. Nice job.

A talking frog, wow! The imagination worked overtime in this poem. Was he chopped to death? Ouch! It is getting spring around here and soon we will hear these creatures talking or chirping.

Author: What a delightful Poe like non-sensical/tale...Morbid, but charm-ing. Creative rhyming for what appears to be a "curse" levied on one of the parties because of shady dealings between the two uncouth adversaries.
I enjoyed the read and wish scribe the best of luck in the contest. teafor2

Interesting and creative. Frogs are often featured in fairy tales, but mostly as a good creature. I like the path you took, making the frog into a malevolent character. Best of luck in the contest.
