rain can hide a lot of sadness and tears
rain is also very relaxing and soothing to the soul

a great haiku with great imagery
though i did want to pause after the first line instead of the second
but that could be just me lol

I see what you mean, I added a comma after winter rain. The dash stays where it is because the last line is the satori so you need to pause before making the connection...the juxtaposition of rain and tears.

It's a real funeral, real rain, the dead person family member, maybe wife, is crying but since it's raining nobody can tell.

I think everyone would be crying at the funeral - we all feel each other's pain and grief. But you're right that the rain would camouflage the tear-stained faces.
