You've shown the bright summer day and the small patch of shade, a respite from the lovely fluffy cumulus cloud. If you were down there on that arid land you would really appreciate a little shade, even for a moment. Nicely done with your tanka poem shelley.

The last line got my attention. It seemed sort of run of the mill sketching out a scene of clouds floating tranquilly over the landscape until that last line. The shadowed island is like this place of failed beauty, a garden of Eden that has fallen from paradise, an imperfect landscape of our habitation. Interesting image. estory
