The single word lines of the beginning are garish, harsh... much like He endured. The refusal to cave, the mission steadfast, gives strength and hope. Very beautifully written, you did a lot with very few words!

Jesus is described here as he is being crucified. You make it easy to imagine his torturers in the first stanza and his last words in the second. BUT you fail to comply by the requirements of the prompt. There should be only 14 words in 7 lines, not 8.
