Good morning, Terry!
I don't know how or why I missed this delightful narrative when you first posted it, but I am glad I found it today.
Your dialogue is humorous, realistic, and more than a little moving as I found myself reminiscing about a few past relationships that are best forgotten... (A couple of them were like going on a blind date and wishing I was blind! Yup. That bad).
Loved every line... and especially the Yogi Berra line!

Thank you for sharing!
Best wishes!

Great dialogue between friends. I'm reading this on Valentine's Day, because I'm quite a bit behind in reviewing, but your piece is perfect for the day. I like that the dialogue gives us all the details we need to know in the story. Carol

I enjoyed this dialogue, but I kept looking for one thing that is certain for us all, it ends in death. The nearer I get to that point, the less I like the look of the options. I liked the way you kept approaching that then moving away. kay

Kay, it is always good to hear from you. I really don't understand how I made it this far. I doubt there is any purpose, and yet here I am. Thanks for reading. Terry.

Hey there, you're doing well. I just discovered your perfect 6 contest-brilliant idea! I don't know yet what I will write, but just discovering it was enough to pull me out of my doldrums and reserve a slot even though I don't think I will be inspired enough to place, it should keep me busy, so thanks for that. kay

I really enjoyed reading this. I wonder if true love is for real. I haven't found it. As I am getting older, I do think about dying. Well written and very interesting. Great job

You spell Dolberry with one "l", then two.

Tense week of romance, or intense?

"Love needs some roots to make it grow." I love that!

I once awoke and saw a brilliant light coming from the hallway that leads from my bed to my bathroom. I was sure it was God speaking to me. Then I really woke up, and the hallway was dark - I dreamed that I woke up, and I never figured out what God was saying. Weird.

Interesting dialogue that gives us more insight into Terry:-)

Thanks for sharing, and good luck in the contest.

Pam, dang you only one that caught the spelling, thank you! I think tense is right, poor Lynn. He had been a friend of mine. Thanks for reading. Terry.

This is a very smoothly written dialogue, with one person knowing the right sort of questions to elicit more information. Big topics: love, life and death handled well and in an interesting way.

Terry, you have the rare talent of writing with no sense of purple prose or puffery.

You mean what you say and you transfer that into words that go down well, with a mug of coffee or something a little stronger.

You are a modern day philosopher with a great sense of timing and just the write tone to make us feel smarter while never once preaching...

Just a guess, as I never had the pleasure of meeting her, but somehow I sense Zoe giving this six stars...

I'm pretty sure she asked me to deliver them!

:)

LOL, thanks for the six stars, Karenina. I don't know what Zoe would think about all this writing. She would be amused to the point of being irritated. Thank for the kind words. Terry.

Absolutely great. Lines like this are the reason your are my favorite:

"No, more like a blocked shot, and I took her away from him."

I think this one may do quite well. At least, it's a sixer for me.

Wow. This is a frank and honest dialogue about the serious issue facing everyone: death. I watched a few YouTube videos about it. Yes. You will see a flash of light, levitate over your own body and then all your life events flash in front of you. It sounds you know a thing or two about it, too.

Excellent and good luck.

Thank you for the six stars. I do think the bright flash of light happened, but that was pretty much it. I'll check out the YouTube videos. Thank you for reading. Terry.
