My father always taught me that when God closes one door, he will open another. You writing style is very pleasant.
My one little critique would be that you should change "are heavy laden" to "am heavy laden" but that's all!

Thank you, Heather. I totally agree with you. I wrote my first poem many years ago when I was a senior in high school, and it reflected your exact sentiments. It was my first post on this website back in 2021. I appreciate your constructive comments and good luck wish.

Hello John,
Some roads we have to tread alone I suppose. However, I don't think God intends for us to deal with all the issues of this life by ourselves. Sometimes he sends along someone to help share the burdens we feel. I think having good friends are a real blessing, yet even they can leave us and we're alone again. I guess that's when we discover that God is ever with us. Thanks for sharing.

Isn't it comforting to know that Christ has overcome this world and we can too, if we just let Him come and live within us? What a wonderful and gracious Lord we have. Thank you, Patricia. Initially, I was hesitant to post this. It seemed so depressing and that was not my intent. I'm so glad you didn't see it that way, but focused on the "faith" portion, which was my hope for anyone who reads it. I so much appreciate your beautiful comments and especially the sixth star.
