This will have the reader leaning forward to find out what is going to be happening here. This is a good subject many a reader will identify here: ""I understand. We all want to look up to our dads. But I have to ask -- has he ever physically hurt you or any of your friends?" interesting questioning at the end.

My granddaughter fell into peer pressure and told many lies that tore our family into pieces and probably will never ever totally heal from. Her father went through hell and though exonerated beyond any doubt, the emotions are still there. That's where that part of the story originated.

So tragic so much healing needs to be done here but it's not one of our posts it's another one.

One nice thing about being behind with my reviews is that I get to keep reading chapter after chapter. Nice. I think I have a few more to read before I get caught up.

I see that you have been quite busy, reading my chapters. I am honored. You've read all 12... luckily I finished 13 last night and 14 this morning. Now I must find the $$$ to post. These two chapters will have you on the edge of your chair, I hope.
Hugs, Carol

Wow, things got a bit complicated in this chapter. The sheriff's dating Bobby's sister, so maybe he can keep an eye on Bobby, who seems bent on hurting anyone who crosses him. Another great chapter. Blessings. Carol

Things are heating up and all the relationships are going to be tested I think. Thanks for taking the time to read and review, because I know you have so much more important things going on in your life. Appreciate your thoughts and your time. Take care....Carol

Gabby is caught in the middle, surprisingly defensive of her father, but needing to stand up for Dion as well. Let's hope he isn't too badly injured. Looking forward to how this will turn out as Bobby won't be happy with Gabby's news - and the woman Bobby is with, she's just a big troublemaker.

Yes, Judy will prove to be a big troublemaker, encouraging Bobby. Gabby is torn and it's difficult for a young girl in her current state. Life's snowballing on her. Dion tried to give her an anchor, but it backfired.

As I read the two parts in the wrong order, I now know that Dion managed to defend himself some. And Bobby really is useless, but Gabby doesn't hate him like I thought she did. In fact, she defends him with the excuse that her mom/his wife recently died.

Gabby is young and feels it's her duty to stand up for her father, regardless that she knows he's in the wrong. Hopefully, she will she the error in doing that.

I hope Dion doesn't get into any more trouble. I think it's best if Gabby just tells her aunt about her pregnancy and she'd probably know what to do. It's good that the officer was there at the time.

Gabby hasn't been able to reach her Aunt for some reason. Hopefully someone else will be there to help her. And Dion, his good heart, was pummeled by Bobby.

I was hoping Gabby would clear Dion's name and not allow people to blame Dion for Gabby's pregnancy. Dion was just trying to be a good guy friend. Now he's mixed up with Gabby's dad. Where is that envelope with the money? It had fallen on the ground. Gabby may need that money. There are so many dangling ends that I can't wait to see what happens.

Good morning, Lorraine. I fear Gabby is overwhelmed and torn in so many directions. Hopefully, given a little breathing space, she will be able to see the difference between right and wrong.
Hugs, Carol

Poor Dion, all he was doing was being a guardian angel to Gabby after that slimball of a boyfriend dumped her. But her father thought what all father's would when he saw his daughter come out of the clinic. This was a case of misunderstanding, not that it excuses going and thumping hell out of the lad with her. Now Bobby is in the police car, and Dion is on his way to hospital! No winners there. Now we wait to see what happens next! :)) Sandra xx

You are the best friend I could ever ask for, my dear. It's your support and encouragement that's got me here - writing and actually enjoying myself once again.
It's like a snowball rolling down a hill. Gabby's mom died turning Bobby into a drunk. Bobby's treatment sent Gabby into Jason's arms. Jason's ignorant attitude sent Dion to right a wrong. Leaving the clinic with Gabby, gave Bobby the wrong idea. And now everyone's life is going to be turned upside down. Just like real life!

It really is, Carol. You are excelling at this story. As they say, write about what you know, and it shows. Of course you know I'm a sorceress and travel through portals to other worlds, and that why I know about what I'm writing!!!! 😂🥰🤣🥰xxx

And of course, I believe every word you offer me. Love you!

Gabby needs a hero...
I don't think she's discovered yet that despite what the male figures in her life are showing her...
SHE may be her own super hero!
(I wonder if any of us truly understand the power of God and our own self worth!)

It's a slow lesson, my friend. At least with me. I know I have a strong faith, but I still can't figure out why bad things keep happening over and over. Why my family is like it is.... and nothing I do will ever change it. Gabby's the same way, I think. She's got a good heart, but low self esteem because of things that happen. I'm hoping she'll see daylight somewhere in the near future.
Smiles, Carol

I search for every blessing...and Thank God for those. (The other side I try to endure)
-
Every day I tell myself the same thing... trying to find a blessing in separating myself from Corrie and Kaitlyn is difficult (only because as a mother I fear it's wrong)
At night, when I've made it through another day with out drama, I know it's a blessing.

Yes, stories are about characters, which in all honesty, I'm guessing, life is too. It's the characters what keep us reading, and what make everyday life so interesting, among other things. LOL. Thanks for sharing. Sorry this cowboy's out of bullets.
