Wait until you get older, which I have, and let me warn you, if you are anyway like me, football will be tiring, too. Being athletic was always a part of my youth but now I think I should win a gold medal for simply getting out of bed. Good luck.

Listen, if I get much older, I will be running for president! I always laughed at the old guys who only played 9 holes of golf and called it a round. Now, at least my written score is less. But, not much. Good to hear from you. Thanks.

I feel about baseball as you do for football. With that said, I understand the feelings that come with the end of a season. All the hype and then the let down.
I guess it's all pretty silly, which is what this is all about. Good luck!

We have our favorites, don't we. As I have gotten older, my enthusiasm is not a hot, but when my team is winning, I buy the tee-shirt! Glad you liked my poem. I agree with you, "silly" was the right description of this poem.

This is a funny poem. I particularly don't care about football but my family loves it. I feel like they get paid too much money. I liked your poem. Very well written

So glad you found it funny. Funny is good. I am sure your family gets no sympathy from you for their post-season misery. My wife offers none! Her attitude is, "now, football is over. We can finally get some things done!" I hope you are not as mean as she is.

I know they like it so I try not to be too negative. The super bowl is coming they are all excited. I just like the commercials.

Super Bowl is the only game my wife will watch just because of the commercials. She sits at the table with her laptop doing other things, however, until a good commercial comes on.

Hi
This is a funny poem about how all football fanatics feel at the end of the season. My husband feels the same way you do about the pre-season games. And I agree with you about baseball.
Good luck in the contest with with well rhymed and emotional poem.
Keep writing and stay healthy
Have a great day.

congratulations! Sounds like you married a good man! I often remind my wife, "Good men are hard to find." To which she replies, "Don't I know it. I'm still looking." After 47 years... Thanks for your supportive review. It is good to know that I do not suffer alone...

You?re very welcome.
Yes, I did. Your wife had a good comeback.
