This may have raised the bar for this competition. Very cute commentary from a French fry. I'm not sure if it's silly, cute or funny. I am having trouble distinguishing silly from funny. Good luck with the contest. I liked it.

This was a great read! Well constructed, with perfect A-B rhymes a great ongoing narrative. I only have one small suggestion to offer:
=> What'd one more French fry do? <=
To get a better click on your syllable count and reduce redundancy, try "what would one more do"?
Thanks for a great read,

Thanks for reading and for your suggestion. It's before the committee now.

Hahaha! I wouldn't have thought it was possible to tell an entertaining story in verse about a french fry. But you proved me absolutely wrong. This is wonderfully imaginative to the extent I almost feel sorry for the chip's sad demise. The last stanza rounds off the verse and the french theme in excellent style. Well done! Silly and humorous in equal measure and a great contender! Good luck! Debbie

This is hysterical. The journey of the french fry! You had me gripped till the end wondering what would happen to it.
Just a note, French should not be capitalized. It comes from the procedure of frenching (making strips).
Thanks so much for the laugh! Julie

I have always left two French fries together. Of course! I'm only human not a callus animal!! I wouldn't think of leaving one alone. Seriously, I personify everything, normally, throughout every day.
Excellent writing. It is full of good sensory words and vibrant imagery. The rhyming is paced well and is effective. Perfect image! Thank you for sharing this. Many writers will relate to this. I enjoyed reviewing it.
Best wishes!

This is an excellent silly poem for the contest
that actually makes sense in a French fry way.
Nicely rhymed with easy meter and fun to read.
Good luck in the contest.

A very lighthearted, silly poem. Reminded me a little about the old das when I wanted to be a comic book writer. One company had a series about a french fry tht fell in love with and ran away with a fork. Best wishes for the contest!

thank you!
I hope you gave it a try.
I bet the series with the french fry and the fork was a short one. Sounds like paring up Sylvester and the canary.

It was a limited series, and the company is long gone, and I never got to see the end! Thanks. I did try, but like all my works, it is nothing to speak of.
