Thank you for sharing these wonderful words in memory of a lady who held a very special place in your heart. Sadly, I never came across Sarah's writing. I review less often than I would like. It is heartwarming to hear how this close knit community came together to offer such generous and genuine support and friendship.

Aww I love this story. I read it as she is my namesake so I am always drawn to anything with the name Sarah. How lovely that she developed such a good friendship with you in your late years. I love FS for the different things I can read, and interacting with people all over the world. I can tell by her face in your photo what kind of lady she was xx

Thanks for sharing the lovely photo and the tribute to Sarah. I am sorry to hear about her passing away, but I knew she was very ill. I think people in that situation feel a sense of relief that there will be no more pain.
This is beautifully written, Terry, and thanks for sharing everything about Sarah, her interests, friends, travel, and her love of writing and sharing it on this site. I did not know her well, but I did respond to the poems that were written for her. It was a lovely thing she did for you by getting your book cover framed, and how amazing that she got to play bridge with Omar Sharif.
Thanks again for sharing everything, and I think Sarah is enjoying all of it where she is.

Pam, thank you for the wonderful review and that extra star for Sarah! Maybe she is playing bridge with him again. That would be fun. She was indeed a good lady. Terry.

You are very welcome and deserving of the review and extra star for Sarah. She probably did start up a good bridge game!

Wow. I enjoyed reading about this special lady that I wish I'd have been able to get to know. This is a lovely tribute to her life. It seems like she was one of those people that you wish you could take home with you.

I believe the first post I read of Sarah's was her bridge playing with Omar Sharif.
I found that amazing.
I also recall her post over the holidays of her visit St Augustine. That stayed in my mind because my son is an executive chef at a prestigious hotel there.
She wanted to vacation again as a family reunion this coming Christmas. Unfortunately she miss that one!
Thank you, Terry for bringing her on board here to FS. She will be missed!
A lovely photo to top off you remembrance and sharing with us.

This is such a beautiful tribute to a woman who is very special to you. I did not know her as I am new here. But I wish I did. She seems so well balanced and caring and probably a lot of fun! Thanks so much for sharing this story of her, her interactions here at FS, and her contributions to the world. She will be immortalized through her friends and her stories. Julie

Oh, Terry. I'm so sorry. I remember reviewing Sarah's last post and not really knowing what to say in the face of learning someone was entering hospice care, but still feeling the need to say something. Even without knowing her, her bravery and courage was crystal clear in that post. Thank you for sharing more details about her. My condolences.

This is so beautiful, Terry. I didn't know her as well but I did review Sarah's works. Thank you for inviting her to join Fanstory and encouraging her to post! What a lovely lady and she made a big difference in your condo in the short time she lived there. You focused on the best part of Sarah - her love of life and not dwelling on the bad things. Appreciate your heart-felt post!!
