I've always wanted to travel the Southwest and view those Saguaro cacti since I saw "The Lone Ranger And The Lost City of Gold." It must be so wonderful to travel by these majestic plants. As always, you are a very skilled poet. I enjoyed this very much!

This is a well-crafted poem. The picture accentuates the poem well. I actually saw a show about this particular cactus. This poem flows well. It is a unique plant.

This was an interesting read, Patricia both in your poem and the notes about this stately cactus of Arizona. A lovely photo and how unique, being able to name one of these beauties. That would make a nice memorial. Thanks for sharing,
Cheers

Hi Pat, I enjoyed reading your poem because it reminded me of a dear friend who lived in the desert for a few years. The photo is beautiful. I have also learned that wild flowers bloom in the desert. Your poem has good alliteration. Fantastic photo. Well done. Xo. Margaret

Excellent alliteration in your poem and I am glad you gave information about the saguaro cactus in your notes. They are amazing, and such long lives. They certainly are tall. Glad to know they are protected plants. They deserve to be. judi

Nicely crafted 5-7-5 formatted poem about the Saguaro Cactus. Good footnotes about that Southwestern plant life. I like to be educated alone with reading good poetry.

That is an amazing photograph Patricia! We have lots of large cacti where I live, but none that look like this. I am glad these plants are protected and cannot be damage, a fine post, much enjoyed, love Dolly x

Beautiful poem and presentation. We could learn so much from plants and trees. For one thing, trees regenerate their stem cells and that's why they live for over one hundred years. I enjoyed reviewing this.
Best wishes,
Alexandra

Those are majestic-looking cacti ! Wow! I don't think I ever want to grow one as we live in rain country and that would be bad for them but I'm so glad that they are a protected species there!

Thank you so much for your review. I think you are correct that you would not be able to grow them in the area where you live when I lived in New Mexico, and we had cacti we were told that we should only water them when it rains in Arizona.
