This is a very sad and very well written, heartfelt poem about the loss of your wife. I am so sorry that she was so sick from covid and sickness. On Valentines Day my husband and I will be married 37 years. We do love our spouses. I am so very sorry for your loss! Best wishes in the contest. Teri

Losing someone we care about and love always leaves a hole in our heart, and never completely mends. I especially liked your first stanza, more so after I read the entire poem. It was a set up. Nicely done. Sorry for your loss.
