I don't have a six to offer; they are long since gone.
This is beautifully bittersweet. It is full of longing and dismay for what might soon come. Reality rears its ugly head yet again. This is a winner. Karen

Thank you for your kind review. I wish I could write with a more 'fictional' flair but I'm just too logical or realistic. Maybe there's a better word for it.

I am trying to write all types.
But I cannot do a Western to save my life. Don't know why. I write non fiction mostly nostalgic like "Genoa, Texas, and "5 cents a glass". But, I mainly do mystery/ crime with a twist. Oh, I have a book I am going "Common sense for seniors" I have 19 of those I think. But, I will probably redo it. I am learning poetry, there are so many kinds. Good luck and write whatever you want. Write the comparison on toilet paper brands If you want. Generic one-ply suits me by the way. :-) Karen

You have captured an incredible emotion in four short lines. The image is also "right on". Getting on in years is tough and you have expressed one of the great fears, losing one's partner.
Best to you,
Mim

Thank you for your nice review. Thank goodness these thoughts elude us during our early years.

I can relate to your words since I am a widow. Many go through what you describe in your words. Excellent poetic form and use of words that captures feelings and is a real life event.
