Hi Bill,
Maybe you should take a couple of weeks off... go to the Super Bowl game in Nevada. Let your kids bring their mother home. You deserve to be safe, not sorry. For we both know what she'll find... broken ornaments from when you sat down on the couch, chips on the floor, bed, carpet, pots burned on the bottom with whatever you had for suppers, bread crumbs all over the counter, the clothes washer door ...closed and stinking inside, empty Budweiser beer cans. Need I go on? Save yourself, my good lad!
Really cute, Bill! You haven't lost your sense of humor. Now it's survival time!
Cheers,
Kimbob

Never fear Bill, your wife will be so grateful to be home again that she will soon kick you back into shape without too much wrangling. You made me smile here, love Dolly x x x

Well, I think the laundry bit is very impressive because I remember those rather daunting laundry baskets. And I'm wondering if the couch is back in the lounge yet in which case the ornaments will definitely need to be put away. But, generally, good job! We'll stick up for you, don't worry:)) Great news about your wife! Take care Debbie

I love your knot tying instruction as the artwork. Are you trying to send a message? ;-) I'm truly surprised you didn't get the house painted. Was that inside or outside.

But the good news is you got the Christmas ornaments from the tree and onto the couch where they like it best.

I somehow sense this is hyperbole but it makes for entertaining copy. All the best to you on your wife's return home to continue her recovery around things and people she loves the best.

Much enjoyed.

Good luck with that, Bill.
We're only human and when we are stressed out it's more difficult to concentrate and do things quickly.
You have to look after your wife, but also after yourself.
Take care,
MJ

Hi Bill, ha, ha, ha. Very good, very cute. I'm so glad to hear that your wife will be coming home from the hospital--real soon. Amen. Prayers answered. You did your best. Put your helmut on, and just get ready. Hopefully, there will be no dishes in the sink.

Of note:
I DID remove the Christmas ornaments from the tree -- they lie now on the couch.

(Nice decorating touch, Bill. Big-teeth smile.)

Enjoy your hospital stay. Should we send flowers or goodies?
Well done. A fun story. Margaret ~ LateBloomer

Out of sixes, Bill, but your story...er predicament resonates soundly with me.
Your situation is one that would prompt me mother to say, "Now, don't you worry, Bill. I'll be right over with a pot roast dinner and an apple pie!"
Truth!

Stay strong!
Hope everything meets your wife's approval. I bet she will just be glad to be home. (But I'd tuck the Christmas ornaments away in a safe box, if I were you!) :) :) :)

Much enjoyed!

First of all, she'll be so happy to be home and you're her hero so no fear of any verbal assaults. Second, you did write a book - it's entitled "Back from Her Stroke" and it's a great chronicle of a huge upheaval for your family. You're doing great!

In my mind I can Imagine the tune that would play just before a scene change in the old Jack Web drama Dragnet, "dum da dum dum!!" You have my sympathy, my brother. I pray that she will have some mercy. After all it may be pleasant to spend some time in the hospital convalescing from your injures.
