Hi Ginda,
This is a wonderfully written haiku that matches with the great photo you have taken. It is a good metaphor for icicles melting.
Congratulations of placing third in the contest,
Keep writing and stay healthy
Have a great day.

This poem can be read with many interpretations. It always amazes me when someone can take photo, add some words and then reader can write the story they need hear. You have a talent! ann

Thank you, Ann. You have paid me a huge compliment because it's nice to hear that I have left room for the reader to fill in his or her own thoughts.

Those are some huge icicles! Yes, they do seem to be daggers of ice. Nice photo, and your words describe the picture very well. I like your use of tears for the melting drops. Best wishes in the contest. Carol

Lovely photo Ginda and very descriptive - from daggers into tears - as the ice melts. Though I wouldn't want to live in such cold temperatures I love the look of it. Very nice presentation and good luck in the contest.
Cheers

Yes, this is some cold weather we are having. Thanks for reviewing and offering words of warmth.

Those icicles really show how cold it is! I like how you show the progression of the thaw as the "sharp daggers" are "melting into tears." Hope this does well in the contest!

On this cold, cold weekend, I appreciate your warm words. Thanks for reviewing.

Very cool imagery that makes this cold wave a bit more bearable. A scene we can all relate to, since most of the country is under a deep freeze! It should do very well in the contest.

I like the movement and transformation in this haiku. The shift from daggers to tears highlights how unpredictable winter weather can be. I think this is a wonderful entry.

Thank you, Sally. Yes, I am back after spending the last month preparing my book of poetry on PSP and Parkinson's for publication. I appreciate your warm words on this winter's day.

Beautiful photo, and excellent words corresponding to the difficulties of winter, and also of life itself, with the daggers expressing life's sharp pain and assaults, resulting in tears. Well writte. Best wishes,
Wendy
