I really liked your message here. You look at faith logically, as do I. This all didn't just happen. I liked the yellow on the black background but found the font a little difficult to read. good luck.

Thank you. I'm seldom accused of being logical, but I see your point. For example, I am a believer, but I can't believe that He controls everything. The horrors of 911, natural disasters, plane crashes would not occur if He controlled everything. I accept that WE must deal with real life and our Faith gives us strength to do so. On the font, yes, yellow is bold, but I will probably not use that one again.

Well, I came in 2nd place. But, writing it and having your nice review was the real prize. Thanks and God Bless.

Hi there,
Another loving tribute to Him. I've read several of the entries for this contest, and it is wonderful to see how many other Christians are here. Yes, He is our future. Thank you for sharing and Good Luck in the contest,

Thank you and I am glad you found my thoughts true to Him. I seldom write of my Faith, but this prompt sent a spark that got me going. It felt good to write.

To me, this is a beautifully written combination of doubt and faith. We all have these questions and the answers, I think, are personal and unique for each of us. If I read this correctly, faith is your belief that there is an "overseer" of all that is and that there is a hereafter where we'll understand how He works and what we accept by faith now. I could never express that as well as you have. I was moved by your poem.

Wow, Ms. Judith. I am never accused of moving anyone spiritually. Many thanks. Your "personal and unique for each of us" is a good way of saying it. And, I think we might agree that it is not just about prayer, but thought and action. A childhood friend of mine was later working toward a degree in divinity when I called on him to help me understand the mess of my life. I was drifting in school and lonely and depressed. I told him that I did pray often for guidance. He gave me a thought that still guides me today, over 50 years later: "It's always good to have prayers, but usually it's best to put legs on them." Shortly thereafter, I joined the Navy and with boot camp came an awakening, with service came a meaning, with my return home, came a new major, a career and, later, a marriage of now 47 years...

I have a friend that prays a lot but never "puts legs to them". We often disagree on that subject! I have beliefs that are different from most and not well accepted so I appreciate hearing others with the same questions. In my view, the life you describe is a remarkably well lived one. Mentors in youth really matter. Now I'll hush!!
