You hit it right on the nose. We've had nasty weather for a week and this weekend it is supposed to calm down a little (no wind). The wind is really disgusting because it makes the atmosphere frigid. Like your poem.

I'm with you. It's midsummer here in Australia and we are experiencing floods all over the country. Some of them are record floods in those regions. I liked your use of rhyme and the visual image to accompany your well-chosen words.

We've had it here in Tennessee. We were 58 degrees Friday and on Monday, it's 13 and snowing. What a wonderfully written poem. Good luck in the contest!
