I don't disagree with this one bit. Such a proclamation is absolutely shameful. But, sadly, the other contender has an ever-diminishing accumulation of gray matter. Have you heard him talk...um, rather SLUR? Yesterday, he said half the women on his staff are female. I guess the fact that he remained upright while walking in front of the cameras all day, though, was a plus.
This year, on Election Day, I need a pin that reads: I Vo(mi)ted Today. Gotham's burning. Where the hell is Superman???

Maniacal is one word for it. When it comes to Trump, I'd use many, many more words and not one of them would be fit for use in front of polite company. He is an absolute blight on humanity and I long to see him rot in jail.
