Hi Bill,
I think it's great that you have used Fanstory to keep your fans updated with Kathy's hospitalization and recovery. I really appreciate it, and I know others do, as well.
When it comes to games, I only go for three... "World of Tanks", "Solitaire", and "Number Match". When I was a teenager, I loved a long game of Monopoly with my friends. In my middle years, I played the first "Diablo" a lot...(didn't care for the add-ons!). I think I liked it so much because other players (from wherever) could come in and try to kill you if you couldn't escape back to the surface. (You played that game in chambers below an old cathedral.) If they killed you, the screen would turn red, and you could watch them gathering your gold, spells, armor, and weapons... leaving you to start all over again.
I've never heard of "Cups".
I wouldn't go so far as admitting that my wife is smarter than me. But she is definitely more level-headed. My kids, though, are smarter... and don't mind demonstrating it.
I doubt you're nearly as dumb as you think, Bill. Your writing proves it. You're as witty as they come!
Cheers,
Kimbob

That your family plays games together says how close you all are. Enjoyed your sense of humor about the current situation. How is Kathy doing with the PT and dialysis?

She is a bit sad living in the hospital. This next week we will explore the community room, gift shop, and maybe the cafeteria.

That would be great to see other things. Does she use a tablet or anything like that? Maybe some pictures from home would help. 💖🙏

A fun one, Bill. I haven't played cups, but will ask my kids and see if they will teach me how it's done. Thanks for a cheerful and upbeat message in this short story.

I loved that you wrote about Cups! I am a huge Friends fan. I don't know how you managed to lose at Cups, but I probably would lose, too. I will keep praying for your wife and your family. Thank you for keeping us updated, and best wishes to you.

Don't discount your wife so quickly. She's probably still the smartest one, but can't communicate it. Then what? hahahaha
Years ago, one of my sons was determined to beat me at Trivial Pursuit. We played until the wee hours but I still won. I finally confessed that I had lived through all the times of the questions. hahahaha

I am not familiar with cups, but it sounds like a variation of "Tegwar". If you don't understand that, watch the great "Bang The Drum Slowly." You and I were very fortunate, having married women smarter than us. Once I purchased a simple Noah's Ark playhouse for my daughter. A PhD and I couldn't assemble it. Then my wife put it together in record time! My best to your wife. May she return home, healthy, very soon!

I expect playing a few of these games will help your wife as well as amuse her and the most important thing is to keep a good sense of humour around her so that she stays positive. I expect she will do a lot of laughing when she gets back home with you Bill a fine post, love Dolly x

The best way to stay in the game is the ability to make changes to suit you without warning. If armed with this power, you still manage to lose, there then is no hope for you. You are in fact a born loser, may God have mercy upon you.
