I really like this choice of subject for a loop poem. The illustration at the top is awesome and beautifully captures the theme you explore below. Thanks for the share and good luck for the contest.

This is a very well written loop poem. It sounds great when it is read aloud, and I enjoyed listening to it very much. I wish you the very best in the contest. Patricia.

A fine loop about getting lost in the words in a book and being taken on a magical journey, I enjoyed your inventive post and your loop is skilfully written, love Dolly x

Hi, Boogie. You have no loop/link between lines 3 and 4 - an easy fix, I guess.
Apart from that I enjoyed your take on the wonders of reading. It reminds me of Julia Donaldson's poem with a similar theme. I've googled it to share with you below.
Good luck in the contest.
Steve
I opened a book and in I strode
Now nobody can find me.
I've left my chair, my house, my road,
My town and my world behind me.
I'm wearing the cloak, I've slipped on the ring,
I've swallowed the magic potion.
I've fought with a dragon, dined with a king
And dived in a bottomless ocean.
I opened a book and made some friends.
I shared their tears and laughter
And followed their road with its bumps and bends
To the happily ever after.
I finished my book and out I came.
The cloak can no longer hide me.
My chair and my house are just the same,
But I have a book inside me.

Excellent loop poem. These so often are awkward to read, and yours flows beautifully and the content makes sense.
Only suggestion is to change "while away the hours" to "wile away the hours"
Thanks for sharing! Julie.

Thank you for taking time to read my poem, and for your helpful suggestion. I appreciate both. :)

This loop poem, Book Readers, has the proper formatting and reminds the readers that a book can be the key to finding out how to do things, or how they were done.
