Kace, this has me in tears. Wow, what a feel good story to read on a Sunday morning. My heart is so full of love for this man, for this beautiful poem and for the author who not only did such a great job, but also has a great big heart. Great job with the poem and God bless that big heart of yours. Good luck in the contest, my dear friend.

Thank you, Debi. Our land is full of changes and when the cyclone hit on Christmas Day, heavy rain followed and is still causing much heartache. Love, Kace XX

Just in about 1 1/2 weeks!!
Thank you for what is going on in your area.
The photo of the young man and the kangaroo is impactful.
Still dealing with pain.

So sorry you are in pain. A friend never experienced this when she had her knee replacement. Thanks for reading. You can always contact Tom and ask for a stop to reviews. Bit late now! K xx

All over the world, the weather is much more severe than in past decades. Your free form poem paints a grim picture of what you are experiencing there. Your description of the effects on animals is heartbreaking. The picture you included demonstrates human compassion for animals. I wishw you the best in the free form contest.

Thank you, my friend. The man rescued the young kangaroo, they can't swim for long. K xx

The picture of the man holding the kangaroo is touching. I feel for the animals as well when constant rain brings about flooding. Your words give a voice to both people and animals trying to survive these floods. I hope the monsoon floods cease soon.

Hello, my friend, and thanks for reading. It has been a dreadful Christmas and so many are hurting. I have never seen rain like this, all our dams are over capacity. K xx

A well written free form poetry K and written from your heart. The rain and despair it's caused seems unrelenting in some areas. You told of the devesting plight to our animals well, and of those special people who go to their rescue. Beautifully done, and good luck in the contest.
Cheers

Yes, the Roo must have been exhausted because they can be vicious with kicking humans. The cyclone brought this rain on Christmas Day and it's still raining! Thanks, Alie. K xx
-
Wow, the Roo can viciously kick a human, double darn, Wow. It's still raining, that's some rain.
-
When the Kangaroo males fight, they stand on their tails and with sharp claws, try to disembowel their opponents. They are dangerous to humans.
-
What? They disembowel each other?
-
The male stands nine feet tall and yes he kicks his opponent in the belly while boxing with his arms. People think they are cute and furry, don't try and pat them unless they have been raised in captivity. 👀
-
Wow! That something?

I very much wish I had a six left for this heart-touching posting, my friend. That photograph says it all. Thank goodness there are wonderful people like this man who work so hard to help animals get to safety.
Also, your weather comment is so true because it really is not normalized any more all across the world. So sad!

Hello Lily, I think the Roo must have been exhausted because they generally kick humans. It seems man and beast form a bond when danger threatens. K xx

I'm so sorry to hear about the monsoon floods there. How awful that the homes that were rebuilt had been destroyed again.
Your poem tells an important story and inspires us to pray.
Best wishes in the contest!

Hi Lena, It has been the worst flood in memory. Christmas just wasn't a celebration. The SES brought loads of given gifts for the kids, at least they had something. K xx

I'm thankful for those volunteer workers helping the families. Are you near Queensland? We don't get much news about your country because it's always about the wars and politics here. Thanks for letting us know.
