Are there frog legs on the menu. LOL Thank you for sharing this poem with us. I never thought of frogs as being lazy, but now I think about it, they are probably lazy, but then again, what do they really have to do? lol I enjoyed the entire presentation.

What a delightful haiku, Gypsy. I loved the frogs peeking over the lilypads. Your words were special to me because of those frogs peeking over the pads. Blessed Be n Hugs!!!

Gypsy,

While I am surely not a fan of frog legs as a entree, I still appreciate your satori line. Good use of artwork and color scheme to expand on your spinoff on Basho's famous haiku.

I am familiar with Basho's poem. I like the humor in yours better. I guess the chef is French and is preparing Les jambes des grenouilles! Hope the poor froggies jump and hide!

LoL me too. Do you remember the movie ET? There's a scene we're Elliott frees all the frogs in his science class.

Thank you for your excellent review, big sister.

Oh. I don't remember that scene! Guess I should watch it again. Have you ever seen the Fairytale theatre series? Robin Williams was the Frog Prince and he told the Princess that frogs were heroes like "the frogs of Egypt" She says, "They were a plague!"

I never have seen the Fairytale theater with Robin Williams, or at least I don't remember. I love Robin Williams, I was so sad when he died from depression.

I love the Disney, "Princess and the Frog"

I don't know if this link will work but when you have time you might check it out with Atticus:

I will read it with Atticus. Thank you 😊

It's a video. Just watch it. The humor I think is more for parents to get the allusions.

I saved it to my you tube so I can watch it when Atticus goes to bed. Thank you!

A ha! I quite enjoy the humour in this piece. The frogs are enjoying themselves too much to realize their legs may soon be on the menu.

Very good and most enjoyable read today. :)

This may be the first poem you have written that I don't like. Ha! Kidding. You are too funny.

You know, my step dad gave us all chicken legs once and tricked us into eats by frog legs.

Not cool.

Ooh. Poor frog. Resting and having his guard down, he's going to become an overpriced entree. I liked the innocence of the moment only to have a smidgen of a horror story ending. Gretchen
