Hi Bill,
It's nice to know the kids are checking in on their mother, and still able to poke fun at each other with ancient nicknames... "Clown" and "Piglet", that's cute!
You wrote this January 6th. I hope Kathy is home now, and feeling better every day!
Thanks for keeping us in the know, Bill! Still praying for her full recovery.
Cheers,
Kimbob

She began a two-week physical therapy stint in the hospital yesterday, and will receive dialysis there as well. Thank you, Kimbob.

It is good your kids and concerned and there to make sure everything is going well with their mother. I know how even the grown kids act. While they are concerned about their mother that pick at each other and joke. They probably find that way of communicating takes their mind off the worry.

Yeah, just call somebody Piglet and it's on! Your kids may be 36 and 38 but they can turn into the ones in the picture in a second. What a wonderfully written story. Best of luck with your writing!

Have a great day, and God bless.

Mine are 43 and 44 ...

Spoiler alert: It never gets better!

The more serious the situation the more my son and daughter cut up over it.

It can't be a genetic defect...

I'd never do that!

(But then I don't own a cell phone)

The two can't be in the same room together and be serious.

At least they love each other and they are together in this difficult situation. Thank you for sharing and good luck with your writings and I hope your wife is going to feel better soon.

You can relax, Apparently even your wife being hospitalized has not changed your kid's personality very much if at all. I can easily detect your influence in their behavior. Nice work, Mister personality.

Hahahahaha! Okey-dokey; all's fine in THIS household, I can tell!

This time I have a suggestion for your consideration -- "Today, I am unusually still home as my son is there and my daughter to soon replace him."
Far be it from me to suggest brevity isn't ALWAYS all it's cracked up to be, but in this statement, I think you might want to re-word/take the long way to say you usually aren't at home, yes?

This was a fun read, Bill. More of this please... (I loved it!)

I agree, Dawn. I was just too busy at the time to fix it.

My prayers and best wishes are with you and your wife. I underwent dialysis only once and declared I would never do it again. I couldn't stand having to lay down for hours in an enclosure. I'm so claustrophobic. I look forward to your future writings and to hear good reports about your wife.

Somehow, siblings remain children with each other. My sons were the same even into the 50s. I'm glad you shared this here. Prayers for your wife are ongoing.
