Hi Bill,
I thank you for using this venue to share these frustrating days with the membership. No fun to "YIELD" for the road you'd like to take. I hope that this dialysis business is temporary, and that you and Kathy can return to normalcy very soon.
Cheers,
Kimbob

You know Bill, You show remarkable strength and love by Kathy's side and being strong for her.
I have to say you are inspiring me not to give up as I see Harvey's physical and personality changes.
Best wishes and prayers.
Mary

Yes, new territory indeed. Debi Marquette is having dialysis today too. So much to pray and trust God for and for the strength to carry on with everything else. Praying always for you both.

Just because the choice you are forced to make, does not mean it will be easy to make or adjust to. Yet, some choices are inevitable, and they must be made. Itis my prayer is that it works out as well as is possible, going forward.

I enjoy reading your writing about the progress Kathy is making, plus your response to all of it... all in just a few words. Well written and meaningful. Take care, Bill.

I do hope Kathy comes through this without any ill effects. Now she is on dialysis it should help her a lot. I'm so sorry you have both been going through all this. Bill. I know prayer helps, and I am keeping you both in mine. Your poem says it all so succinctly, my friend. Sending love and hugs, my friend. Sandra xx

You are there, you are beside her and supporting her in every way that you can. I pray dialysis is going well and do not know if it is temporary~~but I hope so. I'm sure the right hand does need a right hand at this point! I hope the nephew's visit was comforting...

Speaking as someone who does dialysis in the ICUs, I know that is quite a process to watch if you have never seen it before. Man is it effective though to help troubled bodies heal. Your last lines are really effective in conveying a lot of thought and emotion in just a few syllables.

Bill this is a most poetic description of the weighty decisions that lie ahead. The right hand needs another right hand to help share the workload that is definitely something new.

This might be a blueprint of what to expect when a debilitating stroke strikes one partner down in a marriage. Are resources enough to cover the cost, things like that.

Thank you for sharing, and keep going because I think your poems have great merit.

Dialysis - not sounding good at all. Is her right hand affected by the stroke she's had, so she needs assistance from another? Seems like a daily diary at present. I know how you feel. I spent seven weeks at the end of last year caring for my foster son in the hospital, many hours a day. It's very draining.
