Thank you very much, Ulla. I'm happy you got it, most people didn't. Maybe they thought it was an error.

I read this once without looking or reading the author noted. The e second time I read it, I saw your tongue in cheek play. Great poem. Very fun. Gretchen

My first graders as do my young granddaughters dearly love ladybugs. Who couldn't love them? Thank you for sharing this poem and this ladybug with us. I enjoyed reading.

LoL ... another meaning. I wrote a play on words... "highheels" vs "high hills:
    c'est la vie

    Thank you, Shelley.

An intriguing Haiku about a lady bug. Very colorfully arranged composition, but for me the satori fell a little flat. The high hills seemed obvious to me and the blade of grass was very high. The ladybug not at the top. I was expecting something more like:
bending nature
Or
Mow victim

Hi Gypsy, I love ladybugs. Your poem is filled with good imagery.

Of special note:
on high hill

(Good alliteration and satori line.)

Great artwork choice. Well done. A pleasure to run. Xo. M

I truly love this poem. It reminds me how much inate ability all creatures have.

I once watched a single bug travel around a warehouse floor and could not help but pen The Bugs Travels. It spurred my imagination of what destiny lay ahead for it.

Hi MariVal,
are they not the cutest little insects?

I rescue at least fifteen to twenty of these sweet 'ladies' from my swimming pool on most days... well them, bees, wasps flies of different species... okay, almost anything that has wings and believes the pool is the best source of water.

The humble Ladybug:
Ladybugs are also known as lady beetles or ladybird beetles.
They are considered beneficial as they eat other plant-eating insects.
Ladybugs are colorful so they can warn predators not to eat them!
They are beetles, not bugs!
Winter doesn't bother them - they live through it!
Not all ladybugs look the same!

Historically and cross-culturally, ladybugs are believed to be talismans of luck. Some believe that, if a ladybug lands on you, you should count the number of spots to predict how many years of good luck you'll have. Many think the spots indicate the number of months until your greatest wish comes true.
Which makes sense, because if I tally up the numbers I would have to count, I'll probably be dead before my luck train arrives.

A wonderful composition, construction and presented Haiku MariVal.

With our thoughts we create...
the view to our destiny.

Warmest regards,
James.

Wow, James, thank you for all the ladybeetle information (*-*)
did you notice I wrote ''hills" instead of 'heels'? A little wordplay.

When I was a little girl, I would catch a ladybug and keep it in my hands for a bit to feel the tiny legs tickle my hand.

You made me smile, I can totally imagine you saving insects from the water. You would make a fine Buddhist zen master.

It's good to see you around here 😊😘

    Con cariņo,
    MariVal
