Hi Bill,
My mother had "hazel eyes". Some of your recent poems end like this, in a special way after all the hospital fuss and bother. You bring Kathy back into the spotlight. You make it personal.
Nicely penned!
Cheers,
Kimbob

Prayers and thoughts are with Kathy and you. Thinking of how physically tired you are from worried.
Having her home hopefully will have you both get some needed rest.
Best wishes and prayers.

A poignant reminder of what you are dealing with and living through, Bill. May your days be blessed with peace, rest and joy as you share your life with her. Blessings!

These machines are so valuable for those who need them, but I can imagine that they must be uncomfortable and a challenging thing to get used to. Thinking of you and Kathy.

Know that thoughts are with you and Kathy. Hope the bi-pap machine helps her, and gives her body and mind some needed rest. I'm sure you both need a lot of rest and to be together. I'm glad to hear she is coming home Thursday. It will be good for both of you. Take care.

You are welcome, Bill.

I'm so sorry to hear that you both seem to be losing much needed sleep and that in turn is probably not helping Kathy's recovery. I don't know much about the bi-pap machine but it looks as if it's very uncomfortable and, therefore, not helping at all. It's still early days and, hopefully, there will soon be greater cause for optimism. My very best wishes to you both. Debbie

Thank you so much, Debbie. The machine seems worse than it is. I know, it seems like torture to look at.

The tension is showing in your sleeplessness which mirrors your wife's. I hope she will start to improve very soon, and that you can both enjoy your time together again without all the medical intervention.

This makes me so sad. Is Kathy not responsive when you visit with her? I thought she was already doing some Physical Therapy. It must be so hard to sleep with much machinery on!

She is in recovery with many cooks in the kitchen. The pulmonologist, respiratory technician, nephrologist, and physical therapist wear her out. ring for the nurse.

I was so sorry to read this one.
I have prayed for you and your family, and hope that everything will work out for you at this terrible time. I will keep praying, even though I'm not very religious (prayers DO work, of that I'm sure) kay

I tossed my c-pap years ago. I tossed it and never looked back. They say that it helps some people, it did not help me that much, I woke up with a severely dry throat each morning. So, I decided to take my chances with living with apnea. So far so good.
