The pitfalls of internet dating. It just goes to show that you can't beat face to face, in person meetings. Never trust the internet. People bullshit out their ass on the net. I once surfed Match.com and got a shout back from someone whose picture looked like a 29 year old fashion model. On the first chat, she told me she had a dying mother in South Africa and needed me to wire $3,000 for medicine. estory

You are one smart lady. I have had a couple of these two and their stories just do not hold up. There are a bunch of liars and there are only after one thing and that is try to get money out of you. I wish more people realize this kind of thing so that they wouldn't get taken by the scammers. Patricia.

Thank you for sharing. Yes, Facebook is a great way to discover how horrible things can really get, by being scammed. I have known friends who have had that problem. I am on it to check on family, but that's it.

These scammers are so disgusting! I read of a new one recently where they are using profile pictures of children and using AI to create false pornographic pictures and then holding the kids to ransom. It made my blood boil.

There are so many of these scams. My mom is still talking to Kenny Rogers long after he died. Ha! She likes to play along. Kenny has a Hispanic accent by the way.
