I laughed when I read the mess that Waylon left Miranda's home in. Isn't that typical of young lads? But she did the best thing making him tidy it up again. As Aaron said, it teaches them to look after themselves. I did that with my sons, much to their wives approval. Lol. Well, Gretchen, I'm all caught up now, and I hope to be able to keep on top of it. Tiredness is my main problem at the moment, but I am getting better. I'm enjoying both your stories, and I owe your other one a six, I honestly thought I had another chapter to read. Well done, my clever friend. xxxx Sandra xx

Thank you so much for the six, Sandra. You take it easy. Resting will be your best friend. I'm glad you enjoyed this. Gretchen

Change can be a wonderful thing, for those of us who are willing to accept it. But being creatures of habit, most of us run from anything different than the normal. :-) Thanks for sharing.

I'm very stubborn to change, unless it is a substantial benefit. Change for the sake of change, no thanks. Thank you for this awesome review. Gretchen

You have a wonderful talent making your story characters believable. It reminds me of my favorite author, Stephen King. He also has that gift.
Miranda acts like a good mom. It's hard to make children or teens clean up.
Sounds like Aaron found his call in life.
Well done!

Let's hope Aaron found it. Lol. Thank you for this. I got chills reading my name and Stephen King in the same sentence. Appreciate this very much. Gretchen

This is a good wholesome family post. Miranda is rocking this motherhood stuff, and Waylon is responding her here. Aaron, is Aaron, but is important to the story. I'm pretty sure trouble is hiding under the surface. I really like reading about Miranda.

Hello Gretchen!
I've probably said this before, but your everyday realism of situations and characters can't be taught to a writer. It's something that comes naturally, unstrained and unprovoked.
Your gift for making everyday life exciting and captivating to read says much about who you are as a writer. (I don't know you personally) but perhaps as a person as well.
I honestly enjoy everything you write. Best, JohnC

It seems like Waylon is very much an indifferent teenage boy, and I remember from my youth hood I was the same indifferent, why? I can't really justify or answer it, poor mum. But what a revelation Aaron is, Miranda plays the role of mum perfectly. She knows she's luck, well done, blessings Roy

Miranda is doing well at the mother thing. Getting the kid to clean up is a lesson he has to learn; it will certainly improve his life. Aaron sounds like a really good person who cares about others, which is also a good lesson for Waylon to learn.

Miranda is always there for her friend and she does act just like a mother to this kid she really seems to care about. I always enjoy reading your stories.

Hmmm. THIS is getting interesting!! How is this all going to fit into The Big Picture in a bit, I wonder! Can't wait to find out. Well done. Good pacing, good Waylon-and-Miranda interaction. Always very real and believable. xoxo

Thank you so much. No idea how it will weave into the rest of the story. Gretchen

Excellent interaction between mother and son. Cleaning up is such a chore, but so necessary so Miranda is right to remind Waylon to clean up. After all, they both live there. The interaction is genuine.
Aaron has another scheme for his life. Poor man. He seems to hop from one thing to another, but at least he tries. Luckily, he has Miranda to support him.
