Yes, the winter ice and snows have to melt in order to give the spring water. The chickadee yearns for the warmth and water of spring. Lovely pictures of the chickadee!

A chickadee is my very favorite bird. I live crows and ravens but the chickadee and a Carolina wren win best in show. This was such a lovely picture you painted with your words. Another winner. Sorry, all out of sixes. Gretchen
