Now, wait a blooming minute. We just started winter, and not we're ending summer??? Of course, if we're living by our friends in Australia this poem would be perfect, well closer because summer would be just beginning. However, I completely enjoyed the poem and the presentation.

It's not literally written, per say. With haiku you can write about any season regardless of what season it is.
Thank you very much, my friend. Happy New Year --prosperous, healthy, and loving 2024.

Yes, although we lose the warmth of summer we can keep the warm memories to help us through the colder seasons of autumn and winter. Another nice seasonal poem.

There is something so sad about those last blossoms of summer. Yet they are a special gift. I love the imagery of the flowers cradled and the meaning behind summers warm embrace. Gretchen

Gypsy,
Your Haiku is a warm memory of our summer past. Your last line is super phrasing.
I enjoyed the overall presentation for your Haiku club entry.

This is a beautiful haiku. Your poem and photo make me long for summer again as I sit here in freezing weather! The connection between flowers and memories brings in a nostalgic effect. Thanks for sharing!
