Now, Where Did I Park?
I was forgetful when I was young, but I've mastered it now.4 total reviews

Wonderful! And so relatable! A clear, well-expressed and engaging little flash reminding us of the most logical thing to do in these circumstances when car parks become unfathomable mazes, no matter what our age. Well done and good luck! Debbie

I was pleased to make 3rd place, but better for having some folks relate and like the idea. Thanks for your support. I don't admit to losing my memory. I claim that at my age, I have filed so much information in my head, sometimes it is hard to find. Merry Christmas!

Or, you could buy a yellow or lime-colored car. I don't see anything like that in your snapshot --just a sea of white, blue, black and gray.
There was a stand-up routine about this by Jerry Seinfeld years ago. He said stores should have more descriptive signs in their parking lots than "A, B, C," etc. He said they should read, "Your mother's a whore" or "Ugly as Shit" so that you'd never be inclined to forget where you're parked. I thought that was genius but, apparently, the various stores we patronize didn't not agree.
Very cute contest entry. Good luck in the polls. xo

Your assumption that I might remember the color of my car is appreciated. Or, that I might remember a rowdy aisle name. Nope, no sure thing. Does not really bother me. I am still alive and writing things which get nice notes from people like you. Life is good! Merry Christmas!

A clever idea, and one I thinking will borrow from you! An innovative and helpful way to use your smarty-pants phone. Nice little rhyme too.
Sending best wishes for your entry.

This actually happened to me this evening! I was wandering around in the lighted parking lot and a family stopped and asked if I needed help. I told them I was looking for my car. They suggested I use my phone to unlock the car doors and signal where it is sitting. I did so and spotted my car three rows away.
You have made a good suggestion that can help a lot of us seniors. Thank you for that and for posting a super entry in the 50 word story contest!
