I think there is more here than I am realizing, but I am not really much of a poet. You have used the three elements that were called for but my weakness in poetry is leaving me a bit confused. It is beginning to come together as I type this, but I figure it will take a few hours for me to "get it". I'm that way with jokes, too.

I really like your language choices and particularly the rhymes in the three final lines of each stanza. This is a difficult truth to confront but is all too apparent in nature - that life is a cycle and death is a constant. Thanks for the share.
