I enjoyed reading this beautiful poem. I believe the Beatitudes were given as a replacement for the harshness of the times and the Commandments.
I do not think they are followed as much as they should be.
Best wishes,
Mary

I enjoyed reading this beautiful poem. Yes, the Sermon on the Mount has affected our lives, I guess for Christians. Morning Glories would help signify that. We have wild ones that grow each year in our yard. Once again, your presentation is beautiful.

The beattitudes are basically blessings. I'm not religious but I do believe in God. I tried to keep it neutral in case non-Christians read the post. I thought about morning glory flowers and blessings came to mind. I never know what my muse is up to. LoL

I take this a couple different ways and that it could be that morning glories were there planted on the mountains where Jesus was. Or that in the morning when Jesus was giving his sermon on the mount, it was determined that His morning glories among the land and flowers over the people as blessings. Ok, I may be a little far fetched here, but you know me, always thinking. LOL. Either way it was quite beautiful my sweet friend. Just like you are! Lotsa love, Debi

I love the Beatitudes - or as someone quipped "BE attitudes" as Jesus teaches us how to be before God and before other people, remembering that all of us are "poor in spirit, mourning, meek, and hungering for righteousness" and desiring to be peacemakers.
Lovely haiku with lovely pictures!

This is a lovely choice of flowers and I'm wondering if they are, in fact Japanese because they seem so appropriate for this verse form. A very calming and beautiful haiku, inspired by faith. Thanks, Gypsy! Debbie

Thank you very much for your excellent review and kind words. I don?t think morning glory is a Japanese flower.
They come from Mexico and Central America but they grow in north America too.
Thank you very much for your excellent review and kind words.

Flowers seem to be a gift from God. Their delicate petals and the fragrance all gentle reminders that something doesn't have to be monumental to be spectacular. Beautiful image. Gretchen
