Unexpected dying happens more than we realize. When they are young and want to have families, finish school or college, and have children for their grandparents, it causes lots of sadness.

Fanstory community or where you live? Unexpected deaths are always shocking especially if they are family deaths such as suicides like in my family where we have had two!! You have described the shock and pain very well.

Guess it all depends what you die from. Shark attack is quite painful. Ha!

Great piece. Not sure how death will stand up against puppies and kittens but we shall see!

There is probably no greater grief than that which is brought on without warning. The shock leaves no space for preparing for impending loss. You cover this topic with clarity and feeling in your poem.

Death at any time is a profound confrontation, but when it's unexpected it is so much more impactful. I'm so sorry for your loss and I know that anyone who has suffered this situation will empathise with you.

I am sorry to read of the loss of one of your friends so suddenly. I think it is a "good" way to die, with no lingering pain, but it's hard on the loved ones. Best wishes for your heartfelt entry.
