This was a beautiful poem about a bird I knew nothing about. The blustery winds made me look out my window at the Nor'easter blowing around my island. It's no tundra but still pretty rough. Beautiful poem. Gretchen

We have a lot of birds in Texas, but I have never seen a snow bunting and from your author's notes, I wouldn't unless one got lost. From the artwork you chose they are pretty birds. I enjoyed reading your poem and once, again, you've presented us with a beautiful and peaceful presentation.

Such cute birdies! I like how you compared the hardiness of the snow buntings standing up to the howling wind. Good use of alliteration in " wind whistles an eerie tune with the window panes."

This is a very beautiful and very well written free verse poem you have penned about these rare birds. They are so tiny and cute it seems hard to imagine them being able to stand the cold. Very lovely imagery from the artwork you chose and great descriptive words. love, blessings and Merry Christmas. Teri
