I like the way you chart the transition between him appearing as an irritating young man with an irritating voice through to becoming your mate. I really like your choice of visual image as well. Good luck for the contest!

I thoroughly enjoyed reading your love story through this beautiful poem. I can somewhat relate to the "an unlikely match" thing, as I married someone I never dreamed I'd marry! Of course now I can't imagine life without him and I'm so thankful I married him and not someone else. The ending line is my favorite: "it's the little things that make love good." What a great wrap-up to a lovely poem, and something my husband and I try to live by! Indeed, the little things end up being the big things.
